Well since Lisa is half way across the country, and i find that i am completely useless when it comes to keeping in regular contact via email, or facebook.
I have come to enjoy sitting down with pen and paper to write her an 'old style' snail mail.
Like in sure the majority of you out there can agree, there is a certain satisfaction to receiving a piece of mail in the box, sitting down for a cup of joe and reading it with your feet stretched out and warming by the fire.
Well lets leave fantasy behind for a while, even though this scenario may not be every ones experience, i do admit to a small amount of glee every time i receive a letter in the post.
Seems like the old art of writing letters is slowly but surely returning to me, and whether this is a good thing remains to be seen.
Lisa, if you are reading this, i hope you can stand waiting for the snail mail, and get the same little giddy feeling like i do every time you get a letter from me.
This is Kieran Signing off.
Adios!

Of Life and the drive south
Hi all Kieran Here,
Well since this is officially my first entry on this blog, i hope you will all bear with me while i get my teeth around writing long winded and meaningful pieces of literature once again, after being so used to simple, basic replies to facebook comments and online gaming chatter.
Some of us have all the luck in the world, some of us are less than lucky, but it seems that i have had all the luck when it comes down to finding a wonderful and beautiful (asthetically and mentally) partner in Lisa.
Although she is now living away from me, in the big smoke, Wellington. I am making my best attempt to keep in regular contact, write her snail mail, and generally be the best boyfriend possible over long distance. To be honest this long distance relationship stuff is a new thing for me, having never before had to experience it, but wow is it hard work. My mum always told me that long distance was hard, but i never really appreciated her advice until now.
Although i enjoyed my first week alone immensely, and found it a little envigorating if not a little guilty to be apart from Lisa for a while, of late it has become painfully obvious that i am missing her very much, if you are reading this post Lisa, I love you lots and lots, miss you heaps and cant wait to see you again.
Well i have driven down to see Lisa once already, having the good luck and fortune to have an awesome friend in Lisa's Dad Noel Taylor. He seems always keen to contribute in anyway he can to allow me to visit Lisa. I am very grateful for this, and having a car to drive down with always helps to keep a measure of freedom in where you can go and which breaks you can take during travel.
Its less expensive that i realised to travel down to wellington, although i can see it becoming an ongoing expense, the return cost for a bus ticket is only $39, and a plane ticket return around $120. Its cheeper to use these methods of travel than travel down in a car, the last time i went it cost me roughly $180 after i had tallied up all the petrol costs. Noel was kind enough to fill the tank before i left, but i replaced that petrol when i came back.
Skype is a wonderful invention, when possible both Lisa and myself keep in contact via video call, and are able to keep in touch and up to date. Its really nice to see each others face. Stops you from forgetting how each other looks, haha.
Anyway bed time is upon me. Best finish this up.
Hope everyone makes use of this blog, we hope that you can keep up with what we are doing, thinking and generally living or going through. Please leave your comments.

First Post:
Hey guys, Lisa here, Just testing out this new blog site that Kieran has found. Looks pretty neat. See how we go with keeping it updated! Hopefully later on we can work out how to add photo's and stuff, to show you what we have been up to, and what we are doing.
Today (July 1st, a weds.) I have a job interview at 7pm, for a Club in downtown Wellington. I'm feeling really nervous, as I haven't been to any interview's in months. The job market here is nuts, not many jobs are here, and the ones that do get advertised get snapped up really fast.
The funy thing is I'm applying in a Strip Club called Mermaids, as a Bar person or Promo person. I don't want to strip, and feel lucky that it hasn't come down to that.
I live in a flat in the suburb of Karori, with two guys: Felix and Neil. They are both at Vic Uni also. They both are studying Computer Science or something ... Geeky! haha. Jokes. Anyway they are nice enough, and we all get along well.
We have been looking for another flatmate ever since I moved in, and have found Matt, a guy who plays LOTRO with Kieran and I, who lives in Seattle. (Well not for long! He's off to NZ for a year!) Can't wait to meet him, he sounds awesome! Will be fun and educational for me to be showing someone around. I feel confident on the buses now, and have gone to town twice.. there isn't a lot to do, unless you work. So I try not go too much, as it costs a bit on the Bus. Still it's cheaper (and faster) than driving (or walking)!
I'm trying my hardest to keep in touch with everyone so hopefully this page will help with that. Kieran and I also both have Facebook pages, and we will both add our contacts into our profiles on here.
Ok Well I better go, got a bit to do before I go to this interview, Wish me luck. See Ya's! Love Lee.
